Cyber security is everyone’s responsibility.

It is not just a technology problem but also is very much a human problem. The term Cyber Security, or Cybersecurity, can be quite polarising. Cyber Security in actual fact could be more accurately described as “business process security”, because it’s an important part of every process across an organisation.

Cyber Security is about risk management and risk minimisation. You can never completely protect yourself from Cyber risk, and there are no silver bullet or quick fix solutions, no matter what security products or experts might tell you.

Both the organisation and their IT provider or department need to be constantly working together. It needs to be a combined effort. In fact, the most effective approach is if an organisation appoints a champion or champions to drive the Cyber security program from within, rather than relying on their IT drive it.

We are on a mission to change the culture of Cyber security in all organisations. For that to happen, it needs to come from the top down. It needs to be a forethought, not an afterthought. Everyone in the organisation needs to care. It needs to be intrinsic.
